I’ve been chasing these bass around for the past 49 years hoping with every cast to persuade a true wall hanger to hit. Today, I broke my personal best with a 11.57 at the scales. Measurements were taken (25 1/2” girth and 20 1/2” long) for a replica mount just before she swam off to hopefully be caught again. These type days are special and having one of my Blue Mountain College anglers, Fisher Overton, on the water with me was sure an extra bonus. We came up just short of the win with a total weight of 26.58, which solidifies the type of outstanding fishery we have in Pickwick.
